Calinta Kit

Calinta Kit is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms: Osteoporosis Osteopetrosis Vitamin d deficiency Hypocalcemia Weak and brittle bones in menopausal women Bone diseases in renal osteodystrophy Postmenopausal osteoporosis Hypophosphatemia Cardiovascular health Predialysis and dialysis patients

Do not lie down immediately after you take Calinta Kit and wait for at least 60 minutes. Let your doctor know if you are allergic to Calinta Kit or its inactive components. Calinta Kit is not recommended if you have hypercalcemia (high calcium levels), hypervitaminosis D (high vitamin D levels), and malabsorption syndrome (difficulty absorbing nutrition from food). Brief your medical history to the doctor if you have any heart/kidney/liver diseases, kidney stones, ulcers, swallowing or digestive problems, and inflammation of the gut. Calinta Kit is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding since it contains Ibandronic acid. It is advised to limit alcohol consumption since it can affect calcium absorption. Calinta Kit is not recommended for children and adolescents below 18 years.

Dry mouth, muscle pain, increased thirst, loss of appetite, vomiting, metallic taste, upset stomach, constipation, difficult urination.

If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Calinta Kit may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Calinta Kit may interact with the following drugs and products: Acetaminophen Amlodipine Ascorbic acid Aspirin Atorvastatin Carvedilol Clopidogrel Cyanocobalamin Deferasirox Docusate

When a dose is taken in higher dose than the recommended doses, it is called Overdose. Overdose always needs a clinical supervision. Any medicine or drug when consumed in Overdose produces untoward side effects on one or various organs in the body. A medicine is excreted in the kidney or metabolized in the liver most of the times. This process goes without any hurdles when taken in normal dose, but when taken in an overdose, the body is not able to metabolize it or send it out properly which causes the effects of anoverdose.

Before using Calinta Kit, inform your doctor about your current list of medications, over the counter products (e.g. vitamins, herbal supplements, etc.), allergies, pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions (e.g. pregnancy, upcoming surgery, etc.). Some health conditions may make you more susceptible to the side-effects of the drug. Take as directed by your doctor or follow the direction printed on the product insert. Dosage is based on your condition. Tell your doctor if your condition persists or worsens. Important counseling points are listed below. After taking ibandronate, wait at least 30 minutes before taking your first food, drink, or other medicine of the day Avoid using antacids Avoid using ibandronate if you have gum disease or have a planned dental extraction Breastfeeding Consult your doctor in case of allergies, diarrhea, stomach or intestinal problems, heart disease, hypercalciuria, hyperparathyroidism, sarcoidosis, renal impairment, hypercalcaemia-associated disease Consult your doctor in case of questions about the amount of calcium you should be taking in each day Dental examination should be considered before taking ibandronate in case of any of these conditions such as cancer, chemotherapy or radiotherapy, steroids, gum disease or having a habit of smoking Do not give injectable form of calcium to children Do not take any other forms of Vitamin D Drink plenty of fluids

In case you miss a dose, use it as soon as you notice. If it is close to the time of your next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your dosing schedule. Do not use extra dose to make up for a missed dose. If you are regularly missing doses, consider setting an alarm or asking a family member to remind you. Please consult your doctor to discuss changes in your dosing schedule or a new schedule to make up for missed doses, if you have missed too many doses recently.
